BURPEE MUSEUM
www.VisitJane.com
ROCKFORD, IL Each Saturday-starting April 2 and running through June 11th, from
11:00 am–2:00 pm the Burpee will feature “Jane Days.” Visitors will learn
first-hand Jane’s fascinating story from experienced dinosaur hunters, beginning
with her days as a ravenous meat-eating predator in the Cretaceous Period to
2001 when major portions of her skeleton were unearthed in the Montana Badlands
by a Burpee Museum expedition.
Families and friends will hear and see it all in hands-on sessions at Burpee.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to meet team members who worked at the
Jane site and experience what it’s like to discover dinosaur bones – it’s show
and tell at its best - gripping and compelling!
Join the experts in the field at the Burpee – those who made it happen – and
take a short trip back in time – and hear how a fierce young dinosaur died
nearly 66,000,000 years ago. Each week meet a new member of the team. Hear first
hand what it’s like to discover a dinosaur and many other fossils that were
collected. Dress up like a dinosaur hunter, make dinosaur tracks and create a
PaleoPet to take home. Family fun for all!
