ORDOVICIAN GALLERY The Ordovician period lasted 70 million years, from 430 million to 500 million years ago. By the end of the Ordovician, all the common invertebrate fossil groups were present, and the vertebrates had appeared. The following fossils were found and photographed by Dave Carlson, ESCONI member.
