This beauty was contributed by Phil Anderson. He found it in Pit 11 during the summer of 2019. It's one of the most amazing fossils to see. Everything is there! As Phil tells it, he picked it up thinking it was a jelly. When he got home and cleaned it, a scorpion was looking up at him. I probably don't need to say it, but these are extremely rare. Scorpions make up about 15% of the arachnids, which are already a very rare group. Who says nothing significant is ever found in Pit 11 anymore?!?
