This week, we have a Laveiniopteris rarinervis from Mazon Creek... literally Mazon Creek or at least Mazon River. This beauty was found this past summer at the I&M Canal Corridor field trip in late August by Rich Holm. This one is in a softer concretion. It opened in about 3 or 4 cycles. Enjoy!
