Back when the MAPS show was at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, there would be an annual field trip to Jacob's Geodes. They are still there and you can still collect geodes on their property. Back then, they charged you by the bucket... $10 if I remember correctly, might be more now.
Today's Throwback Thursday is a look back at the spring 2007 trip. I see my family in these for our one and only visit to the geode mine. By the way, these photos are from John Goode, past president, field trip chairman, treasurer, and much more. He brought a bunch of photos to the show this past weekend.
