This is Throwback Thursday #119. In these, we look back into the past at ESCONI specifically and Earth Science in general. If you have any contributions, (science, pictures, stories, etc ...), please sent them to [email protected]. Thanks!

Today, we have another poem by Charles Schweitzer, who wrote the book "Rhymes of the Rockhounds". The book is a collection of his rockhound poems from the 1950's. We have featured a few of his other poems, see Throwback Thursday #98 for "The Rock I Threw Away".
Remember, share what you find and leave a few for the next guy or gal...
Rockhounds vs. Rockhogs
THE rockhound likes to show his find,
He takes what rocks he needs.
He thinks the rocks belong to all.
He's governed not by greed.The rockhog, on the other hand,
Takes all; nor does he share
His rocks with others who might want.
He cares not how they fare.The rockhound always likes to help.
He'll show his latest find.
You may be sure he left some there;
For he is just that kind.But does the rockhog like to share
Or tell you where he goes?
I'll say he doesn't; no, not he.
His secret no one knows.
