Yooperite from Lake Superior
The next meeting of the Mineralogy Study Group will be om November 2, 2024 starting at 7:30 PM I TEC 1038B. The program will be “Fluorescent Minerals” by Dave Carlson. The presentation will cover fluorescence, phosphorescence, tenebrescence and triboluminescence, fluorescent minerals and where they can be found, and modern sources of UV light. If you have fluorescent minerals or a portable UV light source, please bring them to the meeting for everyone to see.
