Rhacophyllum cornutum is a rare Mazon Creek plant. It was described in 1866 by Leo Lesquereux. The classification is problematic. It has been found in fossil deposits across Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Pennsylvanian, and New Hampshire. For more information about Rhacophyllum in general, see Mazon Monday #170.
