FOSSIL WOOD Calendar

From Elizabeth Woods: I’m a paleobotanist specializing in studying fossil woods. I’ve created a 2011 calendar, published on Lulu — “Plants With A Past. Inside Ancient Woods” that might be of interest to ESCONI members. The calendar shows the distinctive anatomy of fossil woods from Big Bend National Park, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park, the Denver Basin, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, and Yellowstone National Parks.

The calendar is priced at $15.75 and profits go to support fossil wood research and work on the InsideWood website [http://insidewood.lib.ncsu.edu] Preview and ordering information are at http://www.lulu.com/product/calendar/2011-plants-with-a-past/12459668
